The State of the Union is a coalition of civil society organizations working together to hold African Governments accountable for the ratification and implementation of African Union decisions at the country level.
Inform citizens so that they are empowered to act and claim their key rights and freedoms.
Encourage the African Union and member states to ratify, popularize and monitor implementation of key standards.
Develop capacity of inclusive national and continental platforms to popularise, engage and hold governments accountable.
Promoting meaningful citizens' participation in public affairs to demand delivery of quality service by the states
